Power Electronics and Electric Machinery Laboratory
at Tecnologico de Monterrey
I have had the pleasure to inaugurate in 2019 a power electronics and electric machinery laboratory for research purposes. The laboratory was built with external funds of approximately $1.2M (USD) acting as a PI. The lab capabilities include: electric machinery, work stations for power converter design and testing, an internal micro grid, energy storage banks (li-ion batteries and ultra-capacitors), data acquisition hardware (DSpace and National Instruments), a grid emulator (bidirectional three-phase power sources with variable frequency), charging stations for electric vehicles, full cells, renewable energy kits, DSP and micro controller kits, micro-synchrophasor kits and specialized software for simulations.

It has been also a pleasure to work with exceptional Master and PhD students!
